  • The Planets in Our Solar System: A Comprehensive Guide
    There are no "new planets" in our solar system. The eight planets we know and love are:

    * Mercury

    * Venus

    * Earth

    * Mars

    * Jupiter

    * Saturn

    * Uranus

    * Neptune

    There are, however, many other celestial bodies out there, such as:

    * Dwarf planets: Pluto, Eris, Makemake, Haumea, Ceres

    * Moons: Our own Moon, as well as moons orbiting other planets

    * Asteroids: Rocky bodies, mostly found in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter

    * Comets: Icy bodies that orbit the Sun in highly elliptical paths

    Astronomers are constantly discovering new objects in our solar system and beyond. So while there aren't any "new planets" in the traditional sense, there's always the possibility of exciting new discoveries!
