The constellation found between the legs of Centaurus that is most familiar in the southern sky is Crux, also known as the Southern Cross.

It's one of the most recognizable constellations and is very important to southern hemisphere cultures. It's a small constellation but its four brightest stars form a distinct cross shape, making it easy to spot.
