  • How Desert Plants Survive: Photosynthesis Explained
Desert plants don't "eat" in the way animals do. They make their own food through a process called photosynthesis.

    Here's how it works:

    1. Sunlight: Desert plants capture sunlight through their leaves.

    2. Water: They absorb water from the soil through their roots.

    3. Carbon Dioxide: They take in carbon dioxide from the air through tiny holes in their leaves called stomata.

    4. Photosynthesis: They use sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide to create sugars (food) and oxygen.

So, instead of "eating", desert plants use the sun's energy to create their own food!
