    An APT molecule, or adenosine triphosphate, has three main parts:

    1. Adenine: A nitrogenous base, which is a type of organic molecule containing nitrogen.

    2. Ribose: A five-carbon sugar.

    3. Triphosphate group: This consists of three phosphate groups linked together.

    The energy stored in the APT molecule is primarily located within the phosphate bonds. When one of these bonds is broken, the molecule becomes ADP (adenosine diphosphate) and energy is released. This energy can then be used by the cell to power various metabolic processes.
