The exhalation valve opens when the wearer exhales, releasing exhaled air and preventing the build-up of carbon dioxide inside the mask.

    4. Head Harness: The head harness is a system of straps that holds the gas mask in place on the wearer's head. It ensures that the mask remains properly sealed against the face and provides comfort during extended use.

    5. Nose Clip: Some gas masks have a nose clip that helps achieve a better seal around the nose area, preventing unfiltered air from leaking in.

    6. Canister or Cartridge: Some gas masks use replaceable canisters or cartridges that contain the absorbent materials. These canisters can be specific to certain types of gases or environments and can be changed as needed.

    When wearing a gas mask, it's crucial to follow the manufacturer's instructions for proper use, maintenance, and storage. Regular inspection and replacement of filters and cartridges are essential to ensure the mask remains effective in protecting the wearer from hazardous substances in the air.
