  • Chloroplasts: The Key to Carbohydrate Production in Plant Cells
The organelle that produces carbohydrates for the plant cell is the chloroplast.

    Here's why:

    * Photosynthesis: Chloroplasts are the sites of photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is the process where plants use sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide to create glucose (a type of carbohydrate) and oxygen.

    * Glucose as Energy: Glucose is the primary source of energy for plant cells and is used for growth, repair, and other vital processes.

While other organelles like the mitochondria use carbohydrates for energy, they don't produce them.
