  • Messenger RNA (mRNA): The Key to Gene Expression
The molecule responsible for carrying out the genetic information from the nucleus to the ribosomes is messenger RNA (mRNA).

    Here's why:

    * DNA's Role: DNA contains the genetic instructions for building and maintaining an organism. It resides in the nucleus.

    * mRNA's Role: mRNA is a copy of a specific gene from the DNA. It is created through a process called transcription and then travels out of the nucleus to the ribosomes.

    * Ribosomes: Ribosomes are the protein synthesis factories of the cell. They use the information carried by mRNA to build proteins.

So, mRNA acts as a messenger, carrying the genetic code from the DNA in the nucleus to the ribosomes where proteins are made.
