  • Microbiology and Computing: Exploring the Connection (or Lack Thereof)
    While there is a field called "microbial informatics" that deals with the application of computational methods to study microbial systems, microbiology itself does not play a direct role in computers. Microorganisms, such as bacteria or fungi, do not interact with or affect the functioning of computers. Computers operate based on electronic principles and computational algorithms, not biological processes.
