The moon is visible to observers on Earth most of the time. It's only not visible during certain phases:

* New Moon: When the moon is between the Earth and the Sun, the sunlit side is facing away from us, so we can't see it.

* During the day: The moon is sometimes visible during the day, but it can be harder to see because of the brightness of the sun.
