  • Understanding Weight vs. Gravity: What's the Difference?
The measurement of the force of gravity is called weight.

    Here's why:

    * Gravity: Gravity is a fundamental force that attracts objects with mass towards each other. The more massive an object, the stronger its gravitational pull.

    * Weight: Weight is the force exerted on an object due to gravity. It is measured in units of force, typically newtons (N).

So, while gravity is the force itself, weight is the specific measurement of how strong that force is acting on a particular object.
