  • Inertia: Train vs. Car – Which Has More?
A train has greater inertia than a car.

    Here's why:

    * Inertia is the tendency of an object to resist changes in its motion.

    * Mass is a measure of the amount of matter in an object.

    * The more massive an object is, the greater its inertia.

Trains are significantly more massive than cars. This means a train requires a much larger force to start moving, stop moving, or change direction compared to a car.
