  • Understanding Earth's Fundamental Forces: Gravity & Electromagnetism
Two of the most fundamental forces acting on objects on Earth are:

    1. Gravity: This force pulls all objects towards the center of the Earth. It's what keeps us grounded and is responsible for the weight of objects.

    2. Electromagnetism: This force encompasses both electric and magnetic forces. It's responsible for a wide range of phenomena on Earth, including:

    * Friction: The force that opposes motion between surfaces in contact.

    * Normal force: The force exerted by a surface on an object in contact with it, acting perpendicular to the surface.

    * Air resistance: The force that opposes the motion of objects through the air.

While there are other forces like the strong and weak nuclear forces, they primarily act within the nucleus of atoms and are not as directly observable in everyday life.
