    The velocity of an airplane is the rate of change of its position relative to a fixed point, such as the Earth's surface. It is a vector quantity, meaning that it has both magnitude and direction, and is expressed in units such as meters per second (m/s), kilometers per hour (km/h), or miles per hour (mph).

    The velocity of an airplane can vary greatly depending on factors such as the type of aircraft, its weight, altitude, air density, and engine power. For example, a small propeller plane may have a cruising速度of around 100-150 mph (160-240 km/h), while a large commercial jet airliner may have a cruising速度of around 550-600 mph (885-965 km/h).
