There are no such things as neutron atoms. A neutron is a subatomic particle found in the nucleus of an atom, while electrons are found in the electron cloud surrounding the nucleus. An atom is composed of protons and neutrons in the nucleus and electrons in the electron cloud. If an atom gains or loses electrons, it becomes an ion.
