Walking fern (Asplenium rhizophyllum) grows in the eastern United States and eastern Canada, primarily in the Appalachian Mountains.

However, it is also found in some parts of Europe and Asia, likely due to introductions and cultivation.

So while its native range is primarily in North America, it has managed to spread to other parts of the world.
