  • Air as a Natural Resource: Importance & Benefits
Air is a natural resource because it:

    * Is essential for life: All living things, including humans, animals, and plants, need air to survive. We breathe oxygen from the air and release carbon dioxide, which plants use for photosynthesis.

    * Exists naturally: Air is a mixture of gases found in the Earth's atmosphere. It is not created by humans and exists naturally.

    * Provides benefits: Air provides us with many benefits, including:

    * Breathing: It allows us to take in oxygen and release carbon dioxide.

    * Weather: Air currents create weather patterns and influence climate.

    * Sound transmission: Sound waves travel through air.

    * Flight: Aircraft use air for lift and propulsion.

    * Energy: Wind energy is a renewable resource derived from air movement.

    * Is finite: While the amount of air in the atmosphere is vast, it is not infinite. Pollution and other human activities can negatively impact the quality of air, making it scarce and unusable.

Therefore, air meets all the criteria of a natural resource: it is essential, exists naturally, provides benefits, and is finite.
