  • Understanding Sea Breezes: Why Wind Blows from the Ocean to Land
The breeze that blows towards land during the day is called a sea breeze. Here's why it happens:

    * Unequal Heating: The land heats up faster than the water during the day due to the land's lower heat capacity.

    * Air Expansion: The warm air over land expands, becoming less dense.

    * Low Pressure: The less dense air rises, creating an area of low pressure over the land.

    * Air Flow: Cooler, denser air over the ocean is drawn in to replace the rising warm air, creating a breeze blowing from the sea towards the land.

In simple terms, the land gets hot, the air above it rises, and the cooler air from the ocean rushes in to fill the space.
