  • Sunlight Requirements for Grass Growth: Understanding Photosynthesis
There is no natural grass that does not need sunlight to grow.

All grasses are photosynthetic plants, meaning they require sunlight to produce their own food (sugars) through the process of photosynthesis. Sunlight provides the energy for this process.

While some grasses might tolerate low light conditions, they will not thrive without any sunlight.
