  • 4 Examples of Ecosystems: Rainforests, Coral Reefs & More
Here are four examples of ecosystems:

    1. Tropical Rainforest: This ecosystem is characterized by high rainfall, warm temperatures, and a dense canopy of trees. It supports a vast array of life, including monkeys, jaguars, toucans, and countless insects.

    2. Coral Reef: This underwater ecosystem is built by tiny animals called coral polyps. They provide a habitat for an incredible diversity of fish, invertebrates, and algae. Coral reefs are incredibly sensitive to changes in water temperature and pollution.

    3. Temperate Deciduous Forest: Found in areas with moderate rainfall and distinct seasons, this ecosystem is dominated by trees that lose their leaves in the fall. Animals like deer, squirrels, and birds inhabit these forests.

    4. Arctic Tundra: This cold and treeless ecosystem is found in the northernmost regions of the world. Plants are low-growing and adapted to survive long periods of darkness and cold. Animals include caribou, polar bears, and Arctic foxes.
