  • Understanding Gravity: Why Objects Fall on Earth
The reason crumbs, and all other objects, fall to the ground on Earth is due to gravity. Gravity is a fundamental force of nature that causes all objects with mass to attract each other. The greater the mass of an object, the stronger its gravitational pull. The Earth has a very large mass, so it exerts a strong gravitational force that pulls all objects down towards its center. This is what we experience as gravity.
