Tiger Eye is a metamorphic rock. It forms due to the alteration of fibrous, blue asbestos named "crocidolite," that is heated and compressed beneath the earth's crust. Due to these intense heat and pressure conditions, the crocidolite fibers recrystallize and transform into a golden-brown and silky quartz.
