  • Axolotl: The Remarkable Amphibian That Never Grows Up
    The axolotl, an intriguing amphibian native to Mexico, has managed to survive its encounters with the forces of evolution and adapt to a unique, aquatic-only existence. Despite belonging to the same family as salamanders, the axolotl exhibits a remarkable characteristic known as neoteny, which halts its metamorphosis into a terrestrial adult form. This allows axolotls to spend their entire lives as juvenile aquatic larvae.
