  • Understanding Element Naming: Earth-Based vs. Extraterrestrial
There are no "Earth names" for alien elements because alien elements, by definition, do not exist on Earth.

    Here's why:

    * The Periodic Table: The Periodic Table of Elements lists all known elements, and it's a comprehensive record of everything we've discovered on Earth and in space.

    * Naming Convention: New elements are named by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC). They typically use Latin or Greek roots to describe their properties or place of discovery.

    * Hypothetical Elements: There are theoretical concepts of hypothetical elements, often with proposed names. But these are based on mathematical models and haven't been observed in reality.

So, if an element is discovered outside of Earth, it would be added to the Periodic Table and given a name according to IUPAC guidelines. It wouldn't be an "alien" element anymore, but a new addition to our understanding of the universe.
