  • Earth's Spheres: Understanding the Atmosphere, Hydrosphere & Geosphere
The Earth is divided into several major parts, each with its own unique characteristics. Here are the main parts:

    1. Atmosphere: The layer of gases surrounding the Earth. It protects us from harmful radiation from the sun and helps regulate temperature.

    2. Hydrosphere: All the water on Earth, including oceans, lakes, rivers, groundwater, and ice.

    3. Geosphere: The solid, rocky part of Earth, consisting of:

    * Crust: The outermost layer, composed of relatively light rock.

    * Mantle: A thick layer of hot, dense rock that flows slowly over geological time.

    * Core: The Earth's center, composed mainly of iron and nickel. The core is divided into a liquid outer core and a solid inner core.

    4. Biosphere: The part of Earth where life exists, including all living organisms and their environments.

    5. Cryosphere: All the frozen water on Earth, including ice sheets, glaciers, sea ice, and permafrost.

These are the primary parts of Earth, and each plays a critical role in supporting life and shaping the planet's environment.
