* Other celestial bodies: Other celestial bodies, like Mars or the Moon, have very different geological processes that form different types of rock, like igneous and metamorphic rocks.
So, while we might find evidence of past water on Mars, we wouldn't expect to find sedimentary rocks like we do here on Earth.
