  • Granite Shapes & Forms: Understanding the Natural Variations
Granite doesn't have a specific shape. It's a rock, and rocks come in all sorts of shapes and sizes.

    Here's why:

    * Formation: Granite forms deep underground from the slow cooling and crystallization of magma. This process doesn't create a specific shape.

    * Erosion: Over time, granite is exposed to the elements (weather, water, etc.). These forces break down the rock, creating various shapes and sizes.

    * Quarrying: When granite is quarried for use in construction or other applications, it's cut into specific shapes like slabs, blocks, or tiles.

So, while you might see granite in various shapes in buildings or monuments, the natural shape of granite is generally irregular and determined by the forces of nature.
