  • Glacial Meltwater: What It Is and Its Different Forms
Melted glacier water is generally just called glacial meltwater.

While there are no specific names for melted glacier water, it can be categorized further depending on its location:

    * Glacier stream: If the water flows in a defined channel, it is called a glacier stream.

    * Glacial lake: If the water accumulates in a depression, it is called a glacial lake.

    * Glacier outflow: If the water flows from a glacier into a larger body of water, it is called glacier outflow.

It's also important to note that glacial meltwater often contributes to the formation of glacial rivers and plays a crucial role in the hydrological cycle of many regions.
