  • Earth's Core: Understanding the Outer and Inner Core Layers
The Earth's core is divided into two main parts:

    1. Outer Core: This is a liquid layer, primarily composed of iron and nickel, with some sulfur and silicon. It's incredibly hot (around 4,500°C to 5,500°C), and the movement of this molten metal generates the Earth's magnetic field.

    2. Inner Core: This is a solid ball, also primarily made of iron and nickel, but at even higher pressure and temperature (around 5,200°C). The immense pressure keeps the inner core solid despite the extreme heat.
