The Continental Divide is a line of mountains that separates the watersheds that drain into the Atlantic Ocean from those that drain into the Pacific Ocean. It primarily runs through the Rocky Mountains, but it also has a smaller portion that runs through the Sierra Nevada mountain range.

While Nevada is home to the Sierra Nevada, the portion of the Continental Divide within the Sierra Nevada is located in California, not Nevada.
