  • Guyana's Water Borders: Rivers and the Atlantic Ocean
    Guyana is bordered by the following bodies of water:

    * Atlantic Ocean: The main body of water to the north of Guyana.

    * Essequibo River: The largest river in Guyana, flowing north into the Atlantic.

    * Demerara River: Another major river flowing north into the Atlantic.

    * Berbice River: Another significant river flowing north into the Atlantic.

    * Courantyne River: Forms the border with Suriname to the east.

    * Takutu River: Forms part of the border with Brazil to the south.

    It is important to note that Guyana also has numerous smaller rivers, lakes, and creeks throughout the country.
