  • Google Earth: Explore the World with Virtual Globe & Maps
    Google Earth is a virtual globe, map and geographical information program that was originally called EarthViewer 3D. It was created by Keyhole, Inc., a company acquired by Google in 2004. Google Earth was released in 2005 as a C++ desktop application for Windows, and later for macOS, Linux, and mobile platforms.

    Google Earth combines satellite imagery, aerial photography, and GIS (geospatial) data to create a 3D representation of Earth. Users can zoom in and out, tilt the globe, and rotate the view to see any location on Earth. They can also search for specific locations by entering a place name or address, or by clicking on a point on the map.

    Google Earth includes a number of features that allow users to interact with the globe. For example, they can:

    * Measure distances and areas

    * View historical imagery

    * Create and share custom maps

    * Add 3D models and other objects to the globe

    * Fly through the globe in 3D

    Google Earth is a powerful tool that can be used for a variety of purposes, including:

    * Education: Google Earth can be used to teach students about geography, history, and other subjects.

    * Travel: Google Earth can be used to plan trips and explore new places.

    * Real estate: Google Earth can be used to find houses, apartments, and other properties.

    * Business: Google Earth can be used to find customers, competitors, and other businesses.

    Google Earth is free to download and use. It is available for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android.
