  • Metamorphic Rocks: Formation, Types, and Processes
The rock that is squeezed so tightly that the mineral crystals change is known as a metamorphic rock. Metamorphic rocks are formed when existing rocks are subjected to high temperatures, high pressures, or both, causing changes in their mineral composition and texture. These changes occur when the rocks are buried deep within the Earth's crust and subjected to intense geological processes.
