Two of the major landforms in Idaho are The Salmon River Mountains located in central Idaho, are part of the Rocky Mountains and feature several jagged peaks over 10,000 feet and the Clearwater Mountains, that are located in northern Idaho in what is often called the Idaho Panhandle. These mountains rise to nearly 10,000 feet and are also part of the Rocky Mountains.
