  • Understanding Magma Formation and Volcanic Eruptions
When the rock and water under the crust become very hot, it can cause the rock to melt and form magma. Hot magma can cause pressure to build up beneath the crust, which can eventually lead to volcanic eruptions. Magma can also be forced up through cracks in the crust without erupting, forming igneous rocks.
