  • Understanding How Computers Work: Binary & Instructions
That's right! Computers fundamentally understand only two things:

    1. Binary Digits (Bits): These are the most basic units of information in a computer, represented by 0s and 1s. Everything a computer does, from running programs to displaying images, is ultimately encoded in these bits.

    2. Instructions: Computers have a set of very specific instructions they can execute, like "add two numbers" or "move data from one memory location to another". These instructions are also encoded using bits.

So, while computers can seem incredibly complex, at their core, they are simply manipulating combinations of 0s and 1s based on instructions.
