  • LPG & Biogas: Understanding Cleaner Fuel Benefits
    LPG and Biogas are considered cleaner fuels compared to traditional fossil fuels like coal and petrol because of the following reasons:

    LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas)

    * Lower Emissions: LPG burns cleaner than gasoline or diesel, producing significantly less particulate matter, carbon monoxide, and sulfur dioxide. This leads to improved air quality and reduced respiratory problems.

    Biogas

    * Renewable Source: Biogas is derived from the breakdown of organic matter like manure, food waste, and sewage. This makes it a renewable energy source that helps reduce our dependence on fossil fuels.

    * Carbon Neutral: When biogas is produced from organic waste, it essentially captures the carbon that was originally taken from the atmosphere by the plants that formed the waste. This makes it a carbon-neutral fuel.

    * Low Emissions: Similar to LPG, biogas produces significantly lower emissions of harmful pollutants like sulfur dioxide and particulate matter when compared to fossil fuels.

    * Waste Management: Biogas production provides a sustainable solution for managing organic waste, reducing landfill waste and methane emissions.

    However, it's important to note that:

    * Both LPG and Biogas are not completely free of emissions. They still release some greenhouse gases, although significantly less than traditional fossil fuels.

    * The environmental impact of biogas production depends on its source and the processes involved. Large-scale biogas production might require significant land use and water resources.
