  • Silver Nitrate and Hydrochloric Acid Reaction: Observing Silver Chloride Formation
When silver nitrate (AgNO₃) reacts with hydrochloric acid (HCl), a white precipitate forms. This precipitate is silver chloride (AgCl).

Here's the chemical equation for the reaction:

AgNO₃ (aq) + HCl (aq) → AgCl (s) + HNO₃ (aq)

The precipitate is not transparent and appears as a cloudy white suspension in the solution.
