  • Density and Volume/Mass: Understanding the Relationship
    If both volume and mass are doubled, the density remains the same.

    Here's why:

    * Density is defined as mass per unit volume: Density = Mass / Volume.

    * If you double both the mass and the volume, you are essentially multiplying both the numerator and denominator of the density equation by 2.

    * This results in: Density = (2 * Mass) / (2 * Volume)

    * The '2' cancels out, leaving you with the original density.
