  • Raindrops: Understanding the State of Water
    A raindrop is a liquid.

    Here's why:

    * Water exists in three states: Solid (ice), liquid (water), and gas (water vapor).

    * Raindrops form when water vapor in the atmosphere condenses into tiny water droplets. These droplets grow large enough to fall as rain.

    * Although they fall from the sky, raindrops are not frozen. They are liquid water.
