  • Law of Conservation of Mass: Predicting Product Mass in Chemical Reactions
The total mass of the products in a chemical reaction must also be 10.0 grams.

This is due to the law of conservation of mass, which states that mass cannot be created or destroyed in ordinary chemical reactions. The atoms are merely rearranged in the reaction, so the total mass remains the same.
