  • Sea Water Distillation: Physical Change Explained
Distillation of sea water is a physical change.

Distillation is a process of separating components of a liquid mixture by selective evaporation and condensation. In the case of sea water, the components are water and salt. When sea water is heated, the water evaporates, leaving behind the salt. The water vapor is then condensed back into liquid form, resulting in pure water.

No chemical reactions occur during the distillation process. The chemical composition of the water remains the same before and after distillation. Therefore, distillation of sea water is a physical change.
