Gas-to-Liquids (GTL) vs. Condensation: Understanding the Difference
Gas to liquid (GTL) is not condensation. Condensation is the process of transforming a gas into a liquid by cooling it down. On the other hand, GTL is a process of converting natural gas into liquid hydrocarbons. This is done by first converting the natural gas into synthesis gas, which is a mixture of carbon monoxide and hydrogen. The synthesis gas is then used to produce liquid hydrocarbons through a process called Fischer-Tropsch synthesis.
