  • Separating Ammonium Chloride and Sodium Chloride: A Guide to Sublimation
The suitable separating technique for ammonium chloride and sodium chloride is sublimation. Sublimation is a process in which a solid directly changes into a gas without passing through the liquid phase. Ammonium chloride sublimes at a temperature of 338°C, while sodium chloride does not sublime. Therefore, by heating a mixture of ammonium chloride and sodium chloride, ammonium chloride will sublime and can be collected separately.
