  • Understanding Organism Behavior: Definition and Key Aspects
Everything an organism does is called its behavior.

Behavior encompasses all the actions, reactions, and interactions an organism exhibits in response to its environment and internal stimuli.

Here are some aspects that fall under behavior:

    * Movement: Walking, flying, swimming, growing, etc.

    * Communication: Vocalizations, body language, chemical signals.

    * Feeding: Searching for food, hunting, eating.

    * Reproduction: Mating, caring for offspring.

    * Social interactions: Forming groups, competing, cooperating.

    * Responses to stimuli: Avoiding danger, seeking shelter, responding to light or temperature changes.

So, in essence, behavior is the sum total of an organism's actions, reactions, and interactions with the world around it.
