  • Plants: Eukaryotic Cells - Understanding Plant Cell Structure
    Plants are eukaryotes.

    Here's why:

    * Eukaryotes have a true nucleus that encloses their genetic material (DNA). They also have other membrane-bound organelles like mitochondria and chloroplasts.

    * Prokaryotes lack a true nucleus and other membrane-bound organelles. Their DNA is located in a region called the nucleoid.

Plants, like animals, fungi, and protists, have a nucleus, mitochondria, chloroplasts, and other complex cellular structures that make them eukaryotes.
