  • mRNA and Ribosomes: Production & Transport from the Nucleus to Cytoplasm
The two substances made in the nucleus and moved into the cytoplasm are:

    1. Ribonucleic acid (RNA): Specifically, messenger RNA (mRNA) is transcribed from DNA in the nucleus and then transported out to the cytoplasm where it is used as a template for protein synthesis.

    2. Ribosomes: Ribosomes, the protein synthesis machinery of the cell, are assembled in the nucleolus within the nucleus. They then move into the cytoplasm where they bind to mRNA and translate the genetic code into proteins.
