  • Understanding the Human Body's Girdles: Pectoral & Pelvic
The two girdles of the human body are:

    1. Pectoral girdle: This girdle is formed by the clavicle (collarbone) and scapula (shoulder blade). It connects the upper limbs to the axial skeleton, allowing for a wide range of movement.

    2. Pelvic girdle: This girdle is formed by the two hip bones (ilium, ischium, and pubis) which are fused together at the symphysis pubis. It connects the lower limbs to the axial skeleton and provides support for the abdominal organs.
