  • Cell Theory & Spontaneous Generation: What's Impossible?
According to cell theory, the following activity is impossible:

Spontaneous generation of life from non-living matter.

Cell theory states that all living organisms are composed of cells and that all cells arise from pre-existing cells. This directly contradicts the idea of spontaneous generation, which proposed that living organisms could arise from non-living matter. This was a widely accepted belief for centuries, but was ultimately disproven by scientists like Louis Pasteur.
