    Organisms that are well adapted to their environment do several things:

    * Evade predators: Camouflage, speed, and warning coloration are all adaptations that help organisms avoid being eaten.

    * Attract mates: Bright colors, elaborate displays, and specific scents are all examples of adaptations that help animals find mates and reproduce.

    In short, well-adapted organisms thrive in their environment. They are able to survive, reproduce, and pass on their beneficial traits to future generations.
