However, there are also small amounts of DNA found in other parts of the cell:
* Mitochondria: These are tiny organelles within the cell that generate energy. They have their own separate DNA, called mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA).
* Chloroplasts: These are organelles found in plant cells that are responsible for photosynthesis. They also have their own DNA called chloroplast DNA (cpDNA).
So, while the vast majority of DNA is located in the nucleus, there are other locations within a cell where you can find it.
